Here's the way i see it:
Recent sell off it simple profit taking. Trend has changed, with channel up.

Momentum investing, well maybe but this stock just doesnt move the way they like, and lack of volume supports that thought.

The investors in avid realize that they have captured the market, are (finally) becoming profitable, and only more good news is ahead.

I have used the AVID b4 and I am also long looking for $27.00
