No. You have to LOVE to hate yourself first. Then you can want others to hate themselves.

But if you hate yourself but wish you didn't, then what you love is being free of self-hating, so even though you haven't accomplished that for yourself, you have to want others to have it for themselves.

If I understand the statement correctly. I agree, it was a bit murky, but I'm trying to discern its meaning by example.
