i don't think we get a smashing, per Ken. I think this summer will be as BORING as its ever been in the markets, perhaps with a slight upward bias. My own sense is that 2002 will be a down year, and 2003 an up year. But I believe there is a problem (dollar; derivative related?)lurking out there that will get us sometime in the next three to five years, causing a major disruption to the economy and or markets.

PS: did anyone see JM Templeton interviewed the other day? He's expecting a kind of repeat of the 30s (no joke). In his 70 some odd years of investing, he's never had LESS money in the US stock market. Yikes.
