That is an excellent question. And the corollary is, what if what you and I think is best for society are not only dramatically different, but mutually exclusive? Going back to religion, what I believe it is best for society for everyone to be a Christian and you believe it is best for society for everyone to be a Muslim? Oops! But basically, I don't want other people deciding for me what they think is best for me. Which is where Neo's and Jewel's philosophy winds up.
