I just finished watching Sweden Nigeria 2-1. Oh, what a disapointment to see Nigeria eliminated. They could have won this game but just too careless and lady luck was not with them today. Instead we have the boring Swedes with a good chance. Oh well, at least if they eliminate someon it better be Argentina<g>. I think clearly England and Argentina are the better teams in this group and hope they both advance. But for that to happen Argentina MUST beat Sweden and hopefully the Nigerians won't care too much in their game against England and don't do the unthinkable (and certainly capable) of beating the English who again showed huge heart today.

Spain decided to show up in the second half and way too much talent up front, they just punished their mistakes with no mercy. Chilavert eat his words, Casilas was certainly the better goalie. Wow, could this be the year of the Spaniards, two easy wins 3-1 in first two games so far. The substitutions Camacho did in halftime were masterful.

And now for something very controversial...

Am I the only one who thinks Owen did a superb theatrical flopping job in the penalty. In the few times I saw it on replay it appears to me he was not touched AND it looks he is touched because he falls so "perfectly" and from the angle of the ref I would also be giving a PK probably. Or is my eyesight screwed up since I did not have my contacts on (just glasses which I almost never wear). If I indeed am right, it will also be sweet revenge still to pay them back for Simeone's theatrics in 98 and the godly hand of Maradona in 86, so be it<g>

Watch it VERY carefully, I think his foot never makes contact with Owen
