You know, that is really hokey. I am not proposing holding a gun to anyone's head. If I were a teacher, I would be remiss in following the students' preferences, instead of doing my best to motivate them to learn and grow. If I were a dietician at a college, I would be remiss to feed the students according to their whim, instead of having nutritional, balanced meals. If I were a doctor, I would be remiss in shrugging off a patient's desire to rely on crystal therapy for a major illness, instead of doing my best to promote proper treatment. Invoking uninformed "likes" is meaningless, when discussing what is best in the longer run.....
