Apples and oranges. Police who kick in the doors of criminals, such as kidnappers and people who murder federal agents, are doing their job. What I fear is a slide towards the days when they kicked in your door because they suspected you of being a communist. Or the days when Dick Nixon spiked your coffee to toss you out of the presidential race. I believe you don't go from democracy to totalitarianism in a single step. You get there incrementally. And once you start to slide, it's hard to stop. If one small piece of the Constitution is ignored, what does that say about the validity of the rest?
