Is it possible "thou shall not kill" is a dated concept?

The more you allow any governmental agency to intrude on "the pursuit of life, liberty, and happiness" of otherwise lawabiding citizens, the closer YOU are to losing a right dear to YOU. Like I said, don't own a gun, don't want a gun. It's the underlying prinpicle that counts.

I was searching for a quote by a Holocost survivor commenting on his own passivity in the face of the Nazi's "coming for his neighbors" and he not speaking up. "When they came for me, there was no one left to speak up."
