Here I think you are simply wrong. Firearms dealers must get approval from the BATF to sell a firearm to somebody. The dealer must keep a record of each firearm and who it is sold to. So if guns are being sold into the wrong hands, the sellers are not legal gun dealers but criminals just like the buyers. Relative to the general population you will not find too many NRA members being arrested. By and large we are more law-abiding and better citizens than most. We simply believe that the Second Amendment means what it says and we are willing to fight for it.
