Our society promotes violent solutions, because they are generally quick solutions. From Afghanistan to Rambo, we are a nation that wants to see "justice" (which means to us, what we want and expect) meted out quick and Dirty Harry style. The heroes of our culture are violent men. It is no wonder we have a violent culture.
