Worldwide PC sales for calendar quarters, year over year.

q3_97 = +16.1% Y/Y
q4_97 = +15.5% Y/Y

Last year:

q3_96 = + 16.9 % Y/Y
q4_96 = + 13.9 % Y/Y

Hence, growth acceleration Y/Y for the last quarter of 97 should be

q3_97 = -.8 %
q4_97 = +1.6 %

I hope this contributes to the confusion.
