I would never be a social worker.

I wish every social worker in the world would quit their job tomorrow and do something productive with their lives.

I have not met that many social workers, though in my line of work I do meet some. But I have never met one who wasn't him- or her-self psychologically damaged.

IME, healthy, normal people don't go into social work.

I know one social worker who spends most of her day working with parents on parenting skills, and her kids are the most screwed up kids you could imagine. And she's telling other people how to parent?

BARF.

The point of which rant being, I can't answer your question because I can't imagine putting myself in that position.
