Horse Racing: War Emblem Fails in Triple Crown Bid

ELMONT, N.Y. (Reuters) - War Emblem, ridden by Victor Espinoza, failed to clinch U.S. horse racing's Triple Crown in the Belmont Stakes Saturday.
The race was won by Sarava, the mount of Edgar Prado, a rank outsider at 70-1 -- the biggest price in the history of the race.
Second place in the 12-strong field went to Medaglia d'Oro, ridden by Kent Desormeaux, with Sunday Break, the mount of Gary Stevens, in third. (cont)
