Thanks for the physiology stuff Rats, which is not really relevant to atmospheric CO2 levels, though I found it interesting.

How about this - you forgot the main question: <So, why are you worried about CO2 levels in the air? At what level do we start dying or breathing harder? We are at 300 parts per million. Is that a worry? >

I guess you got side-tracked by the physiological and respiratory mayhem of fatties trying to breathe.

300 ppm is only 300:1,000,000 which is 3:10,000 which is only 0.03% which is a very long way clear of the 7% you mentioned.

I think you will have to admit that from a respiratory point of view, even for athletes and asthmatics, or fat people in trouble on the operating table, 0.03% CO2 is irrelevant. Plants get excited about such levels, but humans don't, even if they have trouble breathing.
