The "Elvis Cole" series, of course. And now, "Demolition Angel". I read "Hostage" last month, my Library got it early.
Speaking of Movies from Books, I am an avid Clancy Fan, and loved all of the Movies. I just saw the most recent one, "Sum of all Fears, and was disappointed with Ben Affleck as our Hero. He did not impress me as a guy who had a PHD and would have been a CIA analyst.
They introduced Liev Schreiber as "Kelly/Clark", and I hope they don't use him when they do the movie about him from the book, "Without Remorse." Schreiber is just too weak for the role, IMO. I thought Baldwin was excellent in "October" and I felt that Harrison Ford, although too old, was gritty enough, and such a good actor, that he was great in the other two movies.
Tom Clancy was "Executive Producer" on this latest movie, so he must have picked Affleck. I know he hated Ford as Jack Ryan.
Clancy's newest, "Red Rabbit" is due out in August. It takes Ryan back to "pre-October" and deals with a Russian attempt to assassinate the Pope.
Clancy is closed-mouthed about his projects, but he has said he wants to do a book on Midway. |
