Arafat is currently threatening "a new level of explosions" according to the Jerusalem Post.

IMO, they are making the point that they are not weak, and that they can attack Israel "anytime and anywhere, and with any method they choose".

However, I think the world already knows this, and I'm confident the President is very well aware of Palestinian strength.

Looking at Jewish history, and the actions of Jews at the Warsaw ghetto when the Jews did not resist, the Israeli's will try to never allow themselves to attacked. They have not even listened to the President when he ordered them to do otherwise.

On the other hand, the Palestinians have always shown strength, and resisted.

Using these examples from history, it is my opinion that the President believes only the Palestinians have the strength to make the peace.
