GenRad's Advanced Diagnostic Solutions Division Wins
Multi-Million Dollar Contract
GenRad, Inc., (NYSE:GEN) today announced that Ford Motor Company of Dearborn,
Michigan has selected GenRad's Advanced Diagnostic Solutions (ADS) division as the
full-service supplier for Ford's new Worldwide Diagnostic System (WDS).
The scope of the new business is to supply software development tools, diagnostic
applications engineering and tester hardware systems for distribution throughout the world
to the Ford, Lincoln-Mercury, Jaguar and Aston-Martin dealerships.
The new system will replace several existing tools in the service bay. At the request of the
client company, unit prices have not been disclosed. Joint Ford-GenRad applications work
will use GenRad's diagnostic authoring tools (GRADE).
