This is not a judgment statement but merely a reflection of political realities.

A quite unrealistic one imo. Jews are 2% of the population and have historically voted Democratic, yet Israel is supported by Democratic and Republican administrations alike. Either the Jewish lobby puts the NRA and the Teacher's Unions to shame as lobbyists, or there is something else at work.

That something else is American sympathies for Israel as a fellow democratic, self-made country (contrasted with Arab dictatorships, monarchies, and kleptocracies), and evangelical support for Jews as the biblically declared owners of Israel.
