I'll agree to that. After looking over the estate tax return. I'm thankfull that I'll be dead, when mine is filled out.

The real answer is buried in the tax code that Congress wrote, as opposed to the forms and explanations that come out of the IRS, which is based on the code.

I've looked at the actual code on one occasion on a different subject. I came away with two conclusions. First, the IRS does a remarkably excellent job in clarifying what Congress wrote. [That should be alarming]. Second, I find it exceptionally hard to believe that members of Congress [and President] actually understand the code that they approved.
