Hi VI

Was it not the crash of the Thailand currency that caused the Asian contagion - while the dollar was the safety haven benefactor? That weakness did take our markets lower.

Now as the Dollar loses its crippling effect on domestic manufacturers who export -you predict another crash ?

Seems like your completely overlooking the possibility that Bush's "support of the strong dollar" is no longer worth crippling or manufacturing sector/export markets - which is the last to respond to the economic recovery (that is being regularly confirmed as alive and well by high frequency statistics).

When we shore up our manufacturing with a competitive dollar - the worlds investment capital will flock to our weak dollar and recovering stock market.

The resumption of our manufacturing sector in combination with a gain in the Dollar will be the dynamic play of 02/03.

I think it signals a concern for "our econmy first"(sorely lacking by any of the past administrations) - this is also seen in our tariffs policy - cut out the chronic cheaters.

A long since missing ingredient to global economic leadership.JMHO

Give growth a chance!gg
