Some years ago I decided to eliminate fiction from my reading. To a lesser extent I attempt to do the same with TV. I like the History and Discovery channel, along with how to shows on carpentry. I do watch a fair amount of news and watch a good number of movies, but they rarely seem as worthwhile. Sports are somewhat infrequent unless they are big games. It's a flawed priority system, but works reasonably well for me.
