I love the Odyssey, and I like the references in the movie, but they were not enough to push it over the top to me. The score, especially "Man of Constant Sorrows" was my favorite element of the film (I am very fond of bluegrass, though not an afficianado). I mainly kept thinking about how much better I liked "Down By Law" (Jim Jarmusch). And even that I didn't like it as much as "Mystery Train"..........
