Hi larry, all good points you made. I too hate the massive gov't intervention in our not-so-free markets. But that intervention CAN kick off another virtuous cycle. They've done it many times in the past, and I suspect, because of the baby boomer continuing to spend massively that they will be successful again this time. As for growth in a terrorist world, I too think this puts a risk premium in the market. However, everyone right now is caught in the grip of fear, which makes everyone overestimate the power of terrorists. We are the greatest nation in the world and the most introspective. Look how we're crucifying our gov't right now for missing the signals that lead to 9/11. The U.S. is partnering with our allies around the world to stamp out Osama and his ilk. I suspect that within year or two terrorism will be relegated to the back page as it used to be. So there's no need to get overdramatic about it now. To be honest with you, I love that everyone is disagreeing with me right now. It means I'm on to something. Pessimism now is as bad as optimism was 2-3 years ago.
