I ran an event in December regarding a group of Muslim convenience store owners donating $65K to the Red Cross Liberty Fund and five local public safety (police and fire departments) organizations here in Austin. 'Big Hair' -g- Rick Perry's staff coldly informed me that 60 days advance notice were required to 'get a look' -- even to be considered -- for an 'appearance.' This was, however, after three days of media alert news releases and phone calls. Meaning: they were considering it to a degree. Weighing the political 'benefit,' no doubt. Too bad for them: Lotsa TV and NP coverage; and we're moving MUCH MORE into the visibility spectrum since. Suck rotten eggs, Rick Perry ... is what I say. hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha bia
