Hi GV, how were railroad tracks, public phone system, public works, and highways created?

No one wanted to invest in the phone system until the ROI was more guaranteed by way of limited providers. Equity markets don't work for >3 year solutions, bonds don't work if there are too many small providers.

Fiber is like a track or road, it lasts a long time. If a city is going to dig up a local road anyway, which they inevitably do, why not install ducts for fiber while they're at it?

But more power to any solution, consumer wireless or other, that can accelerate widescale broadband deployment to the home in an economically feasible way that meets the industry's technical requirements.

Regards,
Amy J
