CSC Wins $200 Million Contract To Provide Business Process Reengineering Services
FALLS CHURCH, Va., July 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Computer Sciences Corporation (NYSE:CSC) is one of six vendors awarded Strategic Business Process Reengineering (SBPR) services contracts by the Defense Supply Services - Washington. CSC's share of the indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) award is valued at $200 million if all options are exercised over four years.
CSC will provide a broad range of consulting and reengineering services in support of the Office of Assistant Secretary of Defense for Command, Control, Communications and Intelligence (DoD OASD C3I), other DoD organizations, the military departments and federal agencies worldwide. OASD (C3I) is the lead DoD organization responsible for providing, conducting and leading BPR initiatives.
Specific support will involve functional process improvement, assessment and analysis, data standardization, requirements prototyping initiatives and modeling using automated analytical tools. The SBPR contract will also support assessments of the National Performance Review, the Defense Quadrennial Review and the Information Technology Management Reform Act of 1996.
The contract will provide a complete support system of methods, tools, advisory services and education regarding the discipline of business process reengineering and its application. Work will be awarded on a task-order basis to each of the six vendors.
Contract work will be performed by CSC's Systems Engineering Division and involve approximately 100 BPR specialists at the Pentagon, military facilities, government agencies and CSC locations. CSC is a recognized leader in change management and thought leadership, and operates a dedicated Business Process Reengineering Center of Excellence in Falls Church, Va., in direct support of federal and commercial clients.
