Lorne, I am sorry if my earlier post hurt your feelings. But I would like you also to appreciate how my feelings and I am sure the feelings of others get hurt when you provide references of sites that denigrate the Prophet, site that call him a sex maniac and all that sort. I grew up surrounded by Muslims. I saw the havoc that was caused by Hindu-Muslim riots. One of my own (a believer in my religion), assassinated Mahatma Gandhi (another believer of my religion). And it was all because of hatred. I have tried to bring out the fine distinction between dislike and hatred. As an example allow me to state it once again. I may dislike one of my family members such as say my brother. But I surely do not hate that person because of commonality in other areas such as genetics etc. Your providing examples of sites like Homa.org etc. is giving publicity to blasphemy. I think the least we can do is not run down a Prophet just because "some" of his followers behave in a way that we do not approve of. I hope you can appreciate my passion against hate since I do understand how you feel about what I said. I hope we can seriously and truly maintain a civil exchange since I agree that you have been very civil and open minded compared to others except for those anti Mohammed references of yours. As for Atta, you are certainly miles and miles away from him. I do not want to insiuate that your intentions as heinous as his. He indeed was very screwed since he was telling his wife that he was more interested in the virgins in Heaven that in her. And possibly, having been born and raised in a region in the Indo-Pak subcontinent, I have lived amongst the followers of that religion and I know it better than you do. Or is it?
