Bald Eagle, Re: Do you really think that he would have let a plane crash into the White House. Weren't his family there? The White House wasn't targeted. Eye witness reports indicated that while the airliner was flown over the tourist section of Washington, an exceptionally well flown manuveur, purportedly performed by a fellow who couldn't get clearance to solo a Cessna 72 took the plane through a steeply banked 270 degree turn and into the absolutely least vulnerable point on the Pentagon. Re: Conspiracy theories will always arise in situations like this. As will independent blue-ribbon investigations. Except this time. The largest attack on U.S. soil ever. And Dick Cheney doesn't want is looked into. Re: I surely hope he and his inner circle had no prior knowledge of the attacks. Hope is one thing. Investigation is another. I was gratified this morning to hear on NPR that there is a growing groundswell among the families of victims of 9/11 to have a serious investigation begin.
