The burden of proof in God's existence or in God's non-existence is equal in my opinion. However, I believe I understand where you are going with your argument. If nothing was present before something, then nothing created something which would prove atheism as a valid stance. However, I do not concede that nothing produced something. I believe God is Spirit and God being something created something from Himself.
