HiJaak; Exclusive Licensing Strengthens IMSI's Graphics Utility

SAN RAFAEL, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 14, 1997--IMSI
(NASDAQ:IMSI), a leading developer and publisher of premium
productivity software for the business and home markets, announced
the exclusive license of the popular graphics utility line from
Quarterdeck for worldwide distribution. Through this exclusive
licensing agreement IMSI has acquired full rights and trademarks to
the HiJaak graphics product line.
This licensing will bring two principal products to IMSI, which
are currently available in the retail channel. HiJaak PRO, available
at an estimated street price of $99.95 and HiJaak Graphics Suite 95,
available at an estimated street price of $49.95.

graphic file conversion and image management software," said Doug

for the HiJaak line and the strength it will lend to our current line
of graphics and CAD products."
HiJaak PRO rounds out IMSI's successful desktop publishing and
electronic art line by supporting conversions of over 85 file
formats, 3D viewing and editing, and raster to vector conversion.
Other desktop publishing tools and electronic art products from IMSI
include Master Publisher(TM), Graphics Converter(TM), MasterPhotos(TM)
and the MasterClips(R) Premium Image Collections.
In terms of this agreement, IMSI will continue future development
of the HiJaak product line. "The addition of the HiJaak programming
team to our product development organization adds significantly to
IMSI's expertise in graphics and imaging. They are a great
compliment to our capabilities in the computer aided design arena,
and will enable us to better take advantage of the huge opportunities
