#7)>>>As an example, he noted that the move to wireless technology will drive huge demand for new devices and technologies.<<<

I wonder what Morgan is smoking? Several studies by the baby bells have pointed out that cell phones are used exclusively as cell phones. They are not portals to the internet, and interest in uses of cells phones for anything outside of making calls is just not there.

Thus a big driver for technology is just not there. I think this proves that just because something can be done....does not mean that it should be done.

Remember B. Gates getting all excited about listening to a ball game on the internet???? This is the same situation here.

The cell phone situation may be different in other countries, but not by much.

Morgan's other statements lack mathematical creditability. eg..>>> As an example, Mr. Morgan pointed out that only about 10% of the world’s population has cellphones, and maybe 3% have PCs<<<

Heck a good part of the world does not have a cell phone network. Try Africa, rural Russia, China, India, South America The Philippines, Indonesia, large parts of the Middle East and so forth.

But if people like Morgan keep repeating such rubbish it will be repeated over and over again as if it were carved in stone.

JMO...Jerome
