IMHO, only a fool would invest in a biotech stock expecting to make a quick buck and get out. so, if someome is upset that a "tech rally" is passing them by, they shouldn't be in biotechs to begin with. i think biotechs move on their own news almost completely unrelated to economy, earnings etc. that's why their good shock absorbers. this spring when the small cap tech stocks went thru a sharp 3 mos correction, my biotechs saved my butt. i had to sell isip, vicl, rzym, sugn to make the calls on the techs. out of all of them, i kep two - lgnd because i think it's the best of breed and gntac because it was so far down it wasn't worth selling. also, anyone who takes the time to look at chart will see that lgnd has come up about 30% in the last 3 mos. (9+ to 13)..
