Limited government, low tax, free market capitalist. Believe in the value of privacy, human rights, the right to 'the pursuit of happiness', freedom of religion and from mandated religion, the superiority of Democracy over other forms of governance, and of scientific inquiry over merely 'raging against the darkness'.
In other words, what's known today as a 'Libertarian', but used to be called a 'True Conservative'... and if one goes far enough back in history, was called a 'Classical Liberal'.
Whatever the label (or pejorative, as the case may be), I'll usually come down on the side of free enterprise and human freedoms... and against totalitarians, Luddites, Theocracies, and fanatics of most stripe. |
