But to be serious for a moment, tell me,..... isn't there a line somewhere about "send me your downtrodden, and despairing, etc.", and is that line a Canuck-based comment? (g)

If I weren't a gentleman, I would probably remind folks critical of Canadian immigration policies about how wonderful we were in American eyes when we allowed the Vietnamese "boat people" in by the uh,,.... er.... boatload, not to mention many other times when Canada quietly soaked up huge groups of desperate "dp's" from all over the planet. As far as I am concerned, Canada is a better place for having done so. Few people are as motivated and contribute as much as "First Generation Canucks".
