So Morgans statement about 10% of the people in the world using wireless is way off base.

Yes, he's wrong. It's now over 16%. There are now over 1 Billion cellular users out of a global population of 6 Billion. You seem to be getting geographic coverage confused with users. Sure there are areas that are not yet covered and may not be for years, but most populated areas are covered.

All the hype we have heard about broadband, and the last mile mile technology....is more of a solution looking for a problem. As I see it, we are now overloaded with sensory data of every nature imaginable.... so why would you want to increase the overload?

With a fast connection, you could have quickly researched "global cellular market" and "global population" at Google.com and checked out Morgan's statement yourself, just as I did. It might help prevent foot-in-mouth disease. BTW, here is a very comprehensive report on all telecom markets, but it's over 2.5 MB which will take awhile to download unless you have a fast connection.

So you can call me a rural backwater hick... but Henry Thoreau went to Walden Pond to get away from the broadband of his day....why should we try to improve on his model?

Then why are you using a computer on the Intenet? Check out your facts next time, you are totally off-base on this. BTW, my nearest town is 400 people, and I am delighted to have just gotten a DSL connection here...we are so rural we don't even have cable!
