That is SMART! As I always say; "fundamentals first!"
SNIC is one of those rare companies whose entire future is forward. SNIC makes Authoring Software for the soon to be hottest segment of the consumer market, Writeable DVDR. The fundamentals for SNIC are that up until Jan of 2002, the only market for SNIC products were high end studios, who make movies in the millions. That is why it does no good to look at the past, accept as it relates to technical due diligence and customer satisfaction. Before I say more I offer this aside; I founded a company that works with DVDR media as a protectant, hence for over two years I've been working with OEMs who all now bundle SNIC products or will soon be. I've watched this develop so to speak, up close and personal.
SNIC SW has been licensed to Microsoft, Adobe, and a host of others, their SW will be installed on computers from DELL, SONY, HPQ and a long list of others. The DVDR market shipped it's first units after fall 01 Comdex and is only now ramping up production, by Christmas this year SNIC products will begin to enter consumer awareness at exponential levels. Consumers have CAMCORDER video on 8 mm tape and VHS stacked to the gills in closets and drawers, because of SNIC's Authoring SW that video will be converted to DVD for widepsread distribution to grandmothers, friends, associates everywhere. The Phenomena of Media creation will become a past time for many; in fact by 2004 Consumers will make more movies for DVD than the entire library of Hollywood since it's inception. ( without regard to the contents quality) The phenomena of DVD R allows stock video and sound to be integrated and Authored from any old storage medium to the pervasive format of DVD. ( which is the fastest growing product in consumer product history) This means that the movies we make will or should be viewable across all DVD players purchased in the present and going forward. DVD R drives are being readied to ship inside computers at a great price point, they will also be widely sold as external devices to the upgrade market in large quantities.
Together these events will launch a revolution to dwarf what we saw with CDR and napster.
DVD Authoring SW is going to be standard fair in business and for widespread recording of live internet content.
Everything from conference calls to Company manuals including how to video segments will be recorded to this ubiquitous medium.
SNIC has a listed float of 10.9 million shares, but thousands of people who have been exposed to the SNIC story as it's worked it's way through the various alliances and partnerships that have been signed. This means that lots of well educated shareholders are in the stock, and are smart enough to know what they are holding.
My own Free float work suggests that less than 15% of the float is actually in uncomitted hands. This Company will operate in the marketplace according to liquidity metrics for the foreseeable future.

SNIC is one of those companies mauled by Wall Street as unripe for the present up until now. There were three years of industry fighting that held SNIC up concerning Standards, these have largely been resolved and the DVDR Industry is finally shipping product. SNIC products are format neutral so the Hard Ware people can fight on and it wont stop SNIC.
We are talking about millions of units to tens of millions of units in the near term, further out beyond 3 years every computer will be equipped with DVDR drives and the orgy of applications from home sex video to high school sports on DVDR will be underway. Within 18 months you will begin to see high school and college drama departments marketing this years production on DVDR, they will even dig out old footage and produce those as well. Pretty soon you get the idea just how important this technology is, and SNIC isn't a possible player, they are the Only player in the present tense with the alliances and momentum in place to drive this business. MS and Adobe do not license SW without good reason. It is extremely difficult to manage video in real time.
The Recordable feature sets of DVDR make it suitable for recording Internet content as well, this is a huge market that has taken it's first breath, primarily because of the lack of recording devices.If you would like to ask specific questions that I can answer send me a PM.
