I ordered a very expensive camera that was shipped by FEDEX. The drive just took the box, rang the doorbell and took off. When I found the package there was a large slice through the package. It looked like some one had taken a machete and struck the box about 1.5 inches into the box. As luck would have it, the place where the cut was, went right though the foam protective packaging and struck the camera. I contacted the sales agency and they filed a claim with FedEXP. An investigator came out and evaluated the package and stated that he was amazed at the damage. He filed his report and sent a copy to me. It has now been more than three months and FedEXP still has not processed the claim.

I recommend brown shippiing. They are reliable and responsive. Fed Exp has discovered that UPS is kickiing their tail with ground trucking and they are trying to transition from primarily air freight to a more cost effective trucking network. However, if there service remains so poor, UPS will still be the service of choice.
