I'll keep your sensibilities in mind, just like you've taken care not to offend me.
The language I used is no doubt mild when compared to what Zeglis actually used.
Network failures.
Fatal errors.
With GSM deployment in Chicago, Detroit, etc., planned this Summer, I suspect Zeglis is hacking Nelson's head off and wondering why in the h*** he did not fire the nincomp**p and go with CDMA like Sprint did.
And we all know why--personalities and egos, not cool, calm, deliberate exercise of rational faculties.
Sprint will deploy 1x while AWE will be trying to get emergency location fixed.
What a horrible prospect for AWE.
They got primrose-pathed big time.
Still think EDGE and GPRS will go smoothly? Think that Zeglis shares your confidence?
What happens if the Nokia method for location doesn't work?
When I posted earlier that Nokia faces daunting challenges from the Asians and Microsoft, I wasn't blowing smoke. It also faces challenges because of its technical abilities. Or lack thereof, I should say.
There's no white-washing this latest bit of incompetence.
Remember that AWE blamed Nokia for the initial fine it got for the first failure.
The problems have not been fixed. |
