There are some 5,000 hedge funds maybe more with real money in the markets; I agree with Pauls comments, control over markets is an illusion, you think you have it, then you dont. I've read that many of the folks running these funds are not up to snuff, and these guys as a class of players may represent the next big bubble to pop. I have no doubt that some will make the cut, but in the broader scheme of things, no more than 15% of the total will end up on top. Zeev seems to be the only person publicly on SI batting over 700 for timing, and even though I couldnt do what he does, he'd probably be the first to tell you, that Sh*t happens, and will. The law of large numbers is going to kill some of these hedgies and JT will then be right, but it may take awhile.
