I would never join an HMO. I pretty much hate them. Ditto!!! As a consumer, I want to be able to choose the most qualified physician.....not one that my HMO has "signed up" as their provider. The way many HMOs make decisions that influence the quality of medical care is IMO a disaster waiting to happen. Too many patients feel all physicians have equal training and skills....they don't.
