A number of years ago, right after my husband died, I was staying at our beach house for awhile alone. I awoke one morning and found the kitchen screen ripped off and the window wide open. So I quietly walked around my house to see if anything was missing. The only thing that seemed to be gone was a few bottles of booze and my purse...which I kept on the table next to my bed!!! The idea that someone was in my house was weird enough but to think about them standing next to my bed as I slept, freaked me out! I had to have someone come immediately to rekey my house and my car since the keys were in my purse. Scarey as hell!!!
