If he was alive in the vicinity of Jerusalem during a major festival it would seem likely that he would put in a public appearance. Instead some of his closest advisors said he met with them in secret, a claim that even some of their own doubting Thomas's didn't believe, and then left without seeing anyone else to wander in Galalee. The actual claim for a resurection didn't come until they were drumming up support for another attempt at removing the Roman governors in 40AD. Hmmm, likely story.
