IMO, it would also help to honor the Martyr's. I believe that the President is aware that there can be no lasting peace until the Martyr's are properly honored. You mean like the al Aqsa "martyr" who blew himself up at a store in Hirstolia two days ago, killing a 15 year old girl and wounding 70 others? Arafat pays the salaries of the al Aqsa brigades, btw, as he does Fatah and the Tanzim, who have all been leaders of the terrorist campaign. Is this your evidence that Arafat is working for peace? Or were you thinking of the arms smuggling and corruption?
