To All: Brian Harvey of Lew Lieberbaum called me today (a market maker for XICOR) and he said in a conference call with XICORS CEO, the CEO suggested that they will be moving their earnings announcement to this Thursday rather than next monday. Brian Harvey as in the past suggested that he felt the earnings would be in the .18 - .20 range. i was unaware that lieberbaum had lowered their rating from "STRONG BUY" to "BUY" back when XICOR hit $14. That news never hit the wires as far as i know, now that XICOR is trading in the upper 7's to low 8's he said they are very close to issueing another "STRONG BUY" on the stock. during this correction it is obvious to me that NO market makers can be trusted and that they will manipulate the stock ONLY to their benefit, this is contrary to my past perspective of market makers. any comments on this move to thursday for EPS? blaine
