These are straw men.

No one cares about hurting Bush. The only concern I've seen from 90% of those who object is the secrecy and the actual issues of domestic safety that are being ignored. It doesn't matter to me, for example, who is in office, as long as there is sunshine on the process.

1) phony "rights" isn't an issue with anyone I know

2) "fighting" the FBI and CIA: with me and most that I've read, it's getting some semblance of accountability in self-admitted incompetent organizations. This is the worst disaster in our history, and in the worst administration move ever they get rewarded, instead of heads rolling and new blood in there to fix the problems. Many seasoned political observers have said such large unwieldy incompetent bureacracies need to be completely rebuilt.

3) Accusations of corruption: true. The very least Bush could to is to avoid the obvious blatant apperances of conflict of interest, with dealings with Saudi princes, Carlyle profiteering, etc. The secrecy and history in DC and Texas only compounds those assumptions.
