" The Securities and Exchange Commission is now investigating Halliburton - the company formerly run by Vice President Dick Cheney - for accounting irregularities. What took so long?

When you consider all the time and ink spent on Whitewater, the neglect of the Cheney-Halliburton story is unfathomable. "

ksuave, Bush has filled his administration's posts with crooks from business. Now, more and more
Americans learn how they have been ripped off by the executive officers of US companies!

I don't understand why Cheney is not under criminal investigation for obstruction of justice. The last
I heard he failed to turn over all of the minutes of the meetings with energy executives and when
he got around to releasing pages to Congress there were blank pages.

The other night I heard that lawyers were charging priests with breaking laws that were used usually to prosecute the mob: racketeering was mentioned as an example. Why are Bush and Cheney exempt from these laws?
For instance, Bush moved his papers when he was Governor of Texas to his father's Presidential library.
When W made this move, he knew his papers couldn't be released for 12 years. Couldn't someone argue
that this was an obstruction of justice because many of those papers might have been Enron related?

Congress and the press got its hands on some of W's Governor's papers. I am not sure if they got all of them though. Maybe, someone who posts on this board knows.
