Or a rat. There are rats that live in the wild also. Opossums and rats are the only things with naked tails I can think of.

An elephant got loose from the zoo and a lady saw it in her garden. Called the police and said it was pulling up her cabbages with it's tail. When asked what it was doing with the cabbages she said you ain't gonna believe this.
