The reason I believe that the reff was correct in pulling the red card on Pinto, was once again intent. (At least imo). He really looked mean going after the Korean player...

Once you allow plays like this in an important game charged with emotions is that it will get out of hand in a hurry, worse, serious injuries could come out of these plays. SO the ref HAD to impose order to a team that seemed completely frustrated. The second red card was the result of a SECOND yellow card...

Portugal had the elements to win, they simply did not use them. I will admit that they were rather unlucky in many of them, Gomes missed from less than 5 meters and then I remember a ball hitting the post in the 89th minute, off of Conceicao's foot that would have equalized the game. I will also say that Korea's goal, although very spectacular with a magnificent display of ball control by Park, the Korean striker, the reality should have been that Baia could have stopped that ball... nevertheless, a goal is a goal. Korea got one and Portugal none.

What strikes me the most about Korea is their speed and in the weather they are playing, it is even more amazing --not to mention the "home advantage" in essence, they are playing with 12 players (the home crowd). The same applies to Japan, who I find an even better team.
