By your logic I guess we have to open the doors of all the prisons and let everyone out.

That is a classic example of all-or-nothing aka black-and-white thinking. Right away we're opening the doors of all the prisons. Not! We put people in prison for what we can prove that they did. For what we suspect that they did but can't prove, their misdeeds remain alleged. You and I steer clear of them, but they get to drink beer and watch TV until we can make our case. That's the way it's supposed to work. That's not opening the doors to the prisons. People who cannot make that distinction and omit word, alleged, get sued and have to buy their beer and TV.

If by your point you mean the one about you having given him a chance and him blowing it, I have always seen that. That was never at issue.

I see your point.

If you think my point is that I want to throw open the prison doors, you don't see my point.
