How does Sprint stack up in this area?

i don't know what if anything PCS has in the way of credit lines, but considering they can't issue commercial paper anymore, i don't see why banks would want to give them credit lines.

more generally, the problem i see with PCS is they have a huge amount of debt--some $14 BILLION last i checked. imho this is a big disadvantage for PCS compared to AWE. AWE was very smart to get a big investment by DoCoMo while the stock was still relatively high.

of course, people who bought a betamax in 1982 and have refused to switch to VHS since then probably wouldn't understand why AT&T was willing to go with DoCoMo's technology roadmap. but some companies think financial solvency is better than being burdened with huge amounts of debt.
